“Marty Supreme” at the Pantheon Cinema

Josh Safdie's new film, Marty Supreme, starring Timothée Chalamet, is being shown at the Pantheon Cinema in Nicosia. The film is a vibrant and human portrait of a young dreamer in New York City in 1952, who pursues his dream of becoming the world's greatest ping pong player despite hardship and lack of support. Marty Mauser, a shoe salesman, uses the game as an escape from poverty and family suffocation. With energy and determination, he travels the world to chase his dream. The film explores themes of self-belief, the need for recognition and the cost of ambition. Screenings are scheduled for February 14th and 24th at 5:00 PM and 8:30 PM, as well as February 14th, 15th, 17th, 18th, 24th and 25th at 8:30 PM at the Pantheon Cinema, in Nicosia.
