Low-Pressure System Continues to Affect the Region – Rain and Storms

A low-pressure system continues to affect the region, bringing cloudy skies, local rain, and isolated thunderstorms, mainly in the western half of the island and the mountains. Hail is expected during thunderstorms, while snow is expected at the highest points of Troodos. Winds will be light to moderate, with temporary strengthening on the southeastern coasts. The temperature will rise to 19 degrees Celsius inland and in the south coast, to 18 on the west and north coasts, and to 6 in the higher mountains. Tonight, isolated rain or thunderstorms are expected on the coasts and sparse fog inland and in the east. The temperature will drop to 5 degrees Celsius inland, to 9 on the south and east coasts, to 11 on the west and north coasts, and to zero in the mountains, where frost is expected. The weather will remain similar on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
