Limassol: Two Suspects in Custody for Flower Shop Explosion

Two suspects, aged 19 and 21, are in custody with a six-day court order, following a police request, in connection with the explosion that occurred at a flower shop in Limassol on Tuesday. The explosion caused extensive damage to the facade of the store. The two young men were arrested on Wednesday, pursuant to court warrants issued after testimony that emerged during the investigation of the case by the Limassol TAE. The explosion was caused by the detonation of an improvised metal explosive device containing a low-power explosive and placed outside the store. The Police are investigating the case as attempted destruction of property with explosives. Investigations are focused on determining the motives of the suspects and fully elucidating the circumstances of the explosion. The case is under investigation by the Limassol TAE, which continues to collect testimonies and examine evidence to bring those responsible to justice.
