Limassol: Complaint of negligence at kindergarten - Child found with broken leg

Police in Limassol are investigating a complaint of serious negligence at a private kindergarten following a child injury incident. The child's mother reported that her child suffered a broken leg while at the kindergarten, without the staff immediately informing her. According to the complaint, the mother noticed her child was in pain and, despite assurances from the staff that they were fine, she took the child to a pediatrician. The pediatrician diagnosed the fracture and recommended an immediate transfer to the First Aid. The diagnosis was confirmed there. The doctor estimated that the fracture was caused by a strong impact, possibly from a fall from a height. The child underwent two surgeries, and the mother filed a complaint with the Limassol Police Department. Investigations are underway to determine the circumstances under which the child was injured and whether there was any negligence on the part of the kindergarten staff. The incident has caused concern among parents and has raised questions about the safety of children in private kindergartens and the obligation of staff to inform parents immediately in the event of an injury.
