Legal Service Rejects Parliament's Request for Donors' Names

The Legal Service has rejected Parliament's request to submit the names of donors to the First Lady's Fund, as well as their contributions from 2020 onwards. The opinion states that there is no legal basis for disclosing the information and that responding to the request could lead to administrative sanctions. Parliament requested the information to investigate potential quid pro quo for donations, conflicts of interest, and the possible use of the Fund for vote-buying. However, the Legal Service suggests that if Parliament insists, the donors' names can be replaced with their initials.
