Launch of Cyprus Institute of Directors & Corporate Governance

The Cyprus Institute of Directors & Corporate Governance (CyIoDCG) will officially launch on March 9, 2026, aiming to upgrade corporate governance in Cyprus. The event will be held at the Bank of Cyprus Amphitheater in Nicosia and will feature a speech by Professor Ludo Van der Heyden, a corporate governance expert, who will analyze the importance of governance during periods of growth and crisis, focusing on ethical leadership and independent judgment. CyIoDCG aspires to be a benchmark for excellence in management and modern corporate governance, promoting principles such as integrity, accountability, and continuous training. The event will present the Institute's vision and strategy, as well as the Directors Certification and Development Program, which aims to enhance the skills of executives. The Institute accepts applications from Directors, managers, and senior executives from various organizations, including listed companies, government agencies, and private businesses. The Founding Board of Directors consists of experienced executives with Kyriakos Kokkinos as President, Dimitra Kalogirou as Vice President, and Evdokimos Xenofontos as Honorary President. The creation of CyIoDCG marks a significant effort to strengthen corporate governance standards in Cyprus, contributing to increased transparency, accountability, and efficiency of businesses and organizations.
