Larnaca Water Board Implements Water Saving Measures

The Larnaca Provincial Self-Government Organization (EOAL) is implementing water-saving measures in response to a 10% reduction in water supply announced by the Water Development Department. These measures include reducing water pressure in the distribution networks, requiring consumers to have a water tank with a capacity of at least 800 liters per property. In apartment buildings, a central tank with a pumping system is required to supply water to individual apartments, which must also have their own 800-liter tanks. The implementation of these measures will begin on February 24, 2026, and the EOAL urges consumers to check and install the necessary systems in advance. Public cooperation is considered crucial to avoid further water supply cuts.
