Bad Weather from Greece to Affect the Island

A weak low-pressure system is affecting the region, while a low barometric pressure from Greece will cause rain, storms, and dust from late Tuesday evening. Dust will be observed in the atmosphere until Wednesday morning. Tonight, the weather will be mostly cloudy with local light rain and a possibility of patchy fog. Winds will be light, with a possible change to westerly to northwesterly in the Larnaca area. The temperature will drop to around 13 degrees inland, 15 on the west coast, and 7 in the mountains. Tomorrow, the clouds will recede, but increased clouds will develop, bringing local rain and a possibility of thunderstorms, especially in the western half of the island. Snow or sleet is possible in the higher mountains. Winds will be southwesterly to northwesterly, light to moderate, with strengthening on the coasts. On Wednesday, the weather will be mostly cloudy with local rain and thunderstorms, which will weaken towards the afternoon. Strong westerly winds will prevail, and a possibility of snow in the mountains. Thursday and Friday are expected to see an improvement in the weather.
