The President of DIPA, Marios Karoyian, expressed his confidence that the party will once again receive a vote of confidence in the upcoming parliamentary elections. During the presentation of the 56 candidates for MP in Nicosia, Mr. Karoyian stressed that the large turnout is a response to those seeking to exclude DIPA from Parliament. He characterized DIPA's ballot as "inclusive, dynamic and competitive," consisting of people with different ideological backgrounds who are uniting around the party's vision. He noted the strong presence of women (16 candidates) and the party's representation in all provinces. Mr. Karoyian emphasized the need to overcome divisive policies and hypocrisy, calling on the Cypriot people to unite against dogmatism, nihilism, corruption and personal egoism. He believes that Cyprus is at a critical juncture, facing existential dilemmas. He expressed the view that the situation would be better if corruption, collusion and lack of transparency had been addressed more effectively, and if greater emphasis had been placed on development and social progress. He called for a change of course and for the elections of May 24th to be a milestone for a new era, addressing the challenges of the modern world and ensuring Cyprus's position in the competition.
