Israel Threatens NGOs in Gaza with Ban Over 'Links to Terror Groups'

Israel has announced it will ban NGOs operating in Gaza if they fail to submit a list of their Palestinian employees by Wednesday. The decision is justified by claims of “links to terrorist organizations,” with specific accusations against Doctors Without Borders regarding the involvement of its staff with Hamas and Islamic Jihad. Israel’s Ministry of Diaspora Affairs states that non-compliance will result in the revocation of operating licenses from January 1st and a complete cessation of activities by March 1st, 2026. Doctors Without Borders denies the allegations and states it continues dialogue with Israeli authorities, while expressing concerns about the mandatory disclosure of personal data. This measure has raised concerns among international NGOs, as it threatens humanitarian aid to Gaza, which is in a critical state following the war.
