Israel Removes Araghchi and Ghalibaf from 'Neutralization' List

Israel has removed Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Ghalibaf from its target list, following a request from Pakistan to the United States. Pakistan argued that neutralizing these officials would hinder potential peace talks with Iran. According to a Pakistani official, Israel had the coordinates of Araghchi and Ghalibaf and intended to "neutralize" them. Pakistan communicated with the US, emphasizing that the absence of these officials would make negotiations impossible, resulting in the US asking Israel to back down. The Wall Street Journal reported that the two Iranian officials have been temporarily removed from Israel's target list as potential peace talks are being explored. Their removal from the list lasts approximately four to five days. Pakistan, Egypt, and Turkey are playing a mediating role between Iran and the US in an effort to end the war. Islamabad maintains direct contact with both sides and is considered a likely venue for peace talks. Iran is reviewing a 15-point American plan to end the war, which was delivered through Pakistan.
