Iran Responds to Trump's 15-Point Proposal

Iran has officially responded to the US's 15-point proposal for ending the conflict, as reported by the semi-official Tasnim news agency. Iran's response, delivered through mediators, calls for an end to hostile aggression, specific guarantees to prevent a new war, and compensation for damages incurred. Furthermore, Iran insists on its right to exercise sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz and demands that any ceasefire include all groups involved in the conflict. The American proposal, as published by Channel 12, includes demands for zero uranium enrichment, enhanced UN inspections, restrictions on the ballistic missile program, and a reduction in support for armed organizations. The US seeks a one-month ceasefire to discuss the proposal. According to Channel 12, the proposal includes the dismantling of Iran's nuclear infrastructure, a commitment not to acquire nuclear weapons, the delivery of enriched uranium reserves to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), and full IAEA access to nuclear facilities. However, a senior Iranian official described the proposal as “unilateral and unfair,” arguing that it serves only the interests of the US and Israel. Tehran is now awaiting Washington's response to its own reply.
