Shocking information is coming to light regarding the mysterious case in Larnaca, resulting in the death of a 78-year-old and four people being hospitalized in serious condition. Police investigations are focusing on a water cooler, from which the poisoned liquid appears to have been consumed. The 78-year-old and his wife were taken to Larnaca Hospital with indisposition, with the woman's condition being critical. A few hours later, the 78-year-old was found dead at his home, while relatives and neighbors who visited the house to support the family consumed the same suspicious drink and needed urgent medical care. Police have arrested a person who lived in the basement of the house, as illegal substances were found in his possession. Investigations are underway in cooperation with the YKAN (Cyprus Drug and Addiction Control Unit) to determine if there is a connection between the death case and the drug arrest. Samples have been sent to the State General Chemistry Laboratory for analysis and the results are expected. The condition of three hospitalized patients has stabilized, while one person remains intubated.
