Infant in Critical Condition with Suspected Shaken Baby Syndrome

A three-month-old infant is in critical condition at the Makarios Hospital Pediatric Intensive Care Unit after undergoing surgery for a brain hemorrhage. The baby was taken to the hospital by its parents, and its clinical presentation led doctors to inform the Police, as there is evidence suggesting Shaken Baby Syndrome. The baby's father, 28, has been arrested and is being held for four days, while offenses such as causing grievous bodily harm and child abuse are being investigated. Shaken Baby Syndrome is a serious form of abuse, caused by violent shaking and can lead to permanent brain damage or death.
