Industrial Turnover Increased by 5% in 2025

The turnover of the industrial sector showed a slight increase in 2025, according to data released by the Statistical Service. The Industrial Turnover Index reached 139.8 units (base 2021=100) in December 2025, marking an increase of 4.9% compared to December 2024. In the manufacturing sector, the index reached 146.8 units, marking an increase of 7.1% compared to December 2024. An increase was also observed in the mining and quarrying sector by 6.0%. Conversely, a negative change was recorded in the sectors of water supply and materials recovery by 6.8% and electricity supply by 3.8%. For the period January – December 2025, the index showed an increase of 5.0% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. This increase indicates a positive trend in industrial production and activity. These data provide important information about the economic situation of the industrial sector and can be used to make decisions and plan policies to strengthen the competitiveness and development of the industry.
