IEA Warns of Largest Energy Crisis in History – Take Action Immediately

The International Energy Agency (IEA) has warned of the largest disruption to oil supply in history due to the war in the Middle East. The organization is calling on governments to take immediate action to curb demand and protect consumers. Instability in oil and natural gas prices has intensified, with attacks on commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz further exacerbating the situation. The IEA proposes ten immediate proposals to reduce fossil fuel consumption, such as teleworking, limiting travel, and improving driving behavior. Countries like Bangladesh, Pakistan, the Philippines, and Thailand are already implementing energy-saving measures, while the impact is also being felt in air transport.
