A successful police operation in Larnaca led to the rescue of two women held hostage by a 36-year-old man from Cameroon. The perpetrator had been threatening the women, aged 35 and 40, at their apartment. Members of the Anti-Terrorist Squad were put on standby, while an officer from the Larnaca TAE initiated negotiations with the perpetrator, convincing him to release the hostages.
