Holy Cross Theft: 45-Year-Old Faces Justice

A 45-year-old Greek Cypriot man has been arrested and charged with the theft of the Holy Cross during the Epiphany ceremony in Limassol. The man claimed he accidentally took the cross while rushing to leave the harbor. However, after reading news reports about the police search for the cross, he hid it in a field. The cross, which has no significant monetary value, was recovered and returned to church authorities. The 45-year-old was released and will be summoned to court. Police investigated the incident and took the necessary legal action.
