Hezbollah's Rebirth: How the Group Rebuilt While Deemed 'Dead'

Despite initial assessments of Hezbollah's collapse, the Lebanese organization has rebuilt and is once again at war with Israel. Israeli and American authorities, as well as the Lebanese government, had declared Hezbollah to have collapsed after 15 months of ceasefire, but the organization used this time to reorganize and prepare for the upcoming conflict. According to sources, Hezbollah did not view the ceasefire as the end of the war, but as an operational pause. The organization assessed that Israel halted its attacks because it believed Hezbollah had been sufficiently weakened and that continuing the war could lead to greater losses for Israel. The rebuilding began immediately after the ceasefire, on November 28th.
