Hermes: Flights Resume - Increased Connectivity with Europe

Flights to and from Larnaca and Paphos airports are gradually resuming, improving Cyprus's connectivity after temporary disruptions due to the regional situation. Today, 84 flights are expected in Larnaca and 25 in Paphos, with 34 cancellations in Larnaca and 4 in Paphos. The resumption of easyJet flights from London and to Berlin significantly contributes to improved connectivity. The company announced it will gradually restore its entire scheduled flight program, adding destinations such as Basel, Bristol, Manchester, Edinburgh, and Amsterdam. This development follows the resumption of British Airways flights and Lufthansa Group's announcement to reinstate its schedule from tomorrow, Saturday. Maria Kouroupi, Director of Aviation Development and Communications at Hermes Airports, stated that more and more airlines are resuming flights daily, sending a positive message of confidence towards Cyprus. At the same time, Ms. Kouroupi called for calm in estimates for the upcoming tourist season, emphasizing that there is time and that maintaining flight schedules is crucial. She also stressed the need for efforts to reassure passengers and airlines, projecting a positive image of Cyprus.
