Israel Claims Responsibility for Larijani's Assassination

According to Israeli media reports, Israel has taken responsibility for the assassination of Ali Larijani, Iran's number two and head of the Supreme National Security Council, in a bombing. The operation was initially scheduled for the previous night but was postponed due to a change in the target's location. Prime Minister Netanyahu is said to have personally given the order for the operation, while Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz stated that Iranian leaders are being killed and their capabilities neutralized. Israel also announced the death of Basij commander Soleimani. Katz mentioned that he would inform President Trump about the continued neutralization of Iranian leadership. The operation was reportedly carried out with precision, with Israeli sources stating that Larijani had no chance of survival.
