Cyprus Honors National Anniversary of March 25th

Cyprus is honoring the national anniversary of March 25th, 1821, today with honors and pride. The student parade is currently underway in Nicosia, while earlier a Solemn Doxology was held at the Holy Church of Panagia Faneromeni, presided over by Archbishop Georgios, which was attended by the President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides. President Christodoulides emphasized the importance of the Greek revolution of 1821, describing it as a liberal revolution that yielded results and paved the way for the freedom of other peoples. Doxologies and parades are also taking place in other cities and municipalities, with the presence of government representatives. March 25th is a day of national remembrance and honor for Cyprus, as it symbolizes the struggle for freedom and independence.
