Greenland Seeks Contact with US After Trump's Purchase Remarks

The Prime Minister of Greenland, Jens-Frederik Nielsen, stated that he is seeking to re-establish communication with the United States following remarks by Donald Trump regarding the potential purchase of Greenland by the US. Nielsen dismissed the idea of a possible takeover, emphasizing that Greenland is a democratic country with a long history and that the situation is very different from that of Venezuela. However, he acknowledged the need for his government to take a firmer tone and strengthen dialogue with allied countries and NATO. He also expressed openness to business activities from the US, but stressed that there is no risk of the country being occupied.
