Government Considers Measures for Tourism Amidst Middle East Tensions

The government is examining measures to address the pressures facing the tourism industry due to the war in the Middle East. The Minister of Labor, Marinos Mousiouttas, met with the president of EDEK, Nikos Anastasiou, and a delegation of the party, where issues related to tourism and the need for immediate response were discussed. In addition, the pension reform was discussed, with emphasis on reducing the actuarial reduction of pensions and the state's debt to the Social Insurance Fund. The goal of the reform is to strengthen low pensions and complete the consultation with social partners.
