Government Condemns Attack on DIPA Offices in Limassol

The government strongly condemns the attack and vandalism on the offices of the Democratic Alignment (DIPA) in Limassol, characterizing it as an act of violence and an attack on democracy. Government Spokesman Konstantinos Letymbiotis emphasized that disagreements should be expressed through dialogue and arguments, not destruction, and that the authorities are investigating the case to assign responsibility. Simultaneously, DIPA condemns the attack and calls on the competent authorities to fulfill their duty, stressing that violence is not the solution and that democracy cannot be blackmailed. The attack was carried out by a group calling itself “Anarchist Anti-Corruption” and is linked to a recent corruption scandal. Police are investigating the damage to the office's glass entrance.
