Good News from Hermes Airports: Flights That Were Discontinued Are Resuming

Hermes Airports announced the resumption of flights that had been temporarily suspended due to the situation in the region, improving the connectivity of Larnaca and Paphos airports. Today, 84 flights are expected in Larnaca and 25 in Paphos, with 34 cancellations in Larnaca and 4 in Paphos. The resumption of easyJet flights from London to both Larnaca and Paphos airports, as well as flights to and from Berlin to Larnaca Airport, significantly contributes to the improvement in connectivity. The company is expected to restore its entire scheduled flight program in the coming days, adding destinations such as Basel, Bristol, Manchester, Edinburgh and Amsterdam. The resumption of British Airways flights and the Lufthansa Group further strengthens the recovery picture. Maria Kouroupi, Director of Aviation Development and Communications at Hermes Airports, stressed that airlines are showing confidence in Cyprus as a destination. However, Ms. Kouroupi called for calm regarding estimates for the upcoming tourist season, emphasizing the importance of maintaining flight schedules and the need for efforts to reassure passengers and airlines.
