Geroskipou Olympic Swimming Pool to Reopen with Funding from KOA

The Geroskipou “Tassos Papadopoulos” Olympic Swimming Pool will reopen after four years of closure, as contracts have been signed for the restoration of the swimming pool. The project, with a contract value of €493,854 plus VAT, will be undertaken by Karpozilos Constructions & Developers Ltd and will be fully funded by the Cyprus Sports Organisation (KOA). The project is expected to take six months from the start of work. The Mayor of Yeroskipou, Nikos Palios, stated that upon completion, the Municipality will have one of the most modern swimming pools in Cyprus. Simultaneously, the upgrade of the Michalakis Kyriacou Municipal Stadium and auxiliary pitches will contribute to attracting sports tourism to the area.
