Germany: Half the Country Supports World Cup Boycott Over Greenland

Almost half of German citizens (47%) would support a boycott of the upcoming FIFA World Cup if US President Donald Trump proceeds with his threats to annex Greenland. This is according to a poll by the INSA Institute for the BILD newspaper, where 35% oppose the idea and 18% are undecided. This reaction indicates strong dissatisfaction among Germans with the potential action by Trump, which is seen as a controversial and provocative move. Furthermore, CDU politician Jürgen Hardt even suggested cancelling the tournament as a last resort to pressure Trump.
