Georgios Donis Rejects Cyprus National Team Coaching Role

Greek coach Georgios Donis, former manager of APOEL, stated in a podcast that he had received an offer to coach the Cyprus national team but declined it. Donis justified his decision by stating that he considers the job with the Cyprus national team to be difficult and lacking in prospects, due to the small population and lack of athletes. He also mentioned that he is generally not very interested in national teams, except for Greece, which he considers a huge responsibility and honor. He emphasized the importance of homeland, religion, and family, not with the current interpretation, but with the traditional one.
