Former Paphos Bishop Returns to Cyprus Amidst Synod Dispute - MP Sykas' Immunity Hearing Scheduled

The former Bishop of Paphos, Tychikos, has returned to Cyprus from Greece, however, he has not been invited to attend tomorrow's Holy Synod meeting. This is revealed in a letter from Archbishop Georgios to Synod members, in which Tychikos' name is not mentioned. Tychikos states that he returned to Cyprus as soon as he learned about the meeting, while also continuing to face health issues and undergoing medical examinations. The Legal Service has already filed a request with the Supreme Court to lift the immunity of DISY MP Nikos Sykas regarding the assault complaint filed by his partner. The hearing is scheduled for January 12th. Despite the withdrawal of the complaint by Nikos Sykas' partner, the process for lifting the MP's immunity is proceeding normally.
