Former Hotel Manager of Murdered Turkish Cypriot Businessman Falyali Arrested in Argentina

Hakan Atici, former manager of the "Les Ambassadeurs" hotel and casino in Kyrenia, owned by the murdered Turkish Cypriot businessman Halil Falyali, was arrested in Argentina and extradited to Turkey. Atici was wanted with a red notice from Interpol and is accused of involvement in an illegal betting and gambling network. Turkish authorities consider him a leading figure in the organization and he faces a sentence that could exceed 50 years in prison. The arrest was part of an international operation coordinated by Turkey, Interpol and Europol, resulting in the extradition of a total of 45 wanted persons to various countries. Halil Falyali was murdered in Kyrenia in February 2022.
