Flu A Hospitalizations Increased But 'Not Worrying'

There has been an increase in hospitalizations with Flu A in public hospitals after New Year's, but according to the spokesperson of the Cyprus Public Health Care Organization (OKYpY), Charalambos Charilaou, the phenomenon is expected for the season and does not cause concern. The increase is due to the seasonality of Flu A and other viral infections that appear from January to April. OKYpY states that it is ready to deal with any further increase in the Accident and Emergency Departments and in hospitalizations. At the same time, there was no increase in cases of overeating, but an increased attendance at the Accident and Emergency Departments due to the leave of personal doctors.
