Πυρκαγιά εκδηλώθηκε χθες το πρωί σε διαμέρισμα στον πρώτο όροφο πολυκατοικίας στην κοινότητα Τερσεφάνου, στην επαρχία Λάρνακας, προκαλώντας κινητοποίηση της Πυροσβεστικής Υπηρεσίας.
Σύμφωνα με τα στοιχεία που δόθηκαν, η κλήση λήφθηκε στις 11:02 και στο σημείο ανταποκρίθηκαν οι Πυροσβεστικοί Σταθμοί Λάρνακας με δύο πυροσβεστικά οχήματα.
Η φωτιά ξέσπασε στο μπαλκόνι του διαμερίσματος και επεκτάθηκε στο εσωτερικό του. Οι ένοικοι εγκατέλειψαν το διαμέρισμα μόλις αντιλήφθηκαν την πυρκαγιά και εξετάστηκαν επιτόπου από πλήρωμα ασθενοφόρου που έφτασε στη σκηνή. Δεν κρίθηκε αναγκαία η μεταφορά τους στο νοσοκομείο.
Η πυρκαγιά αποδίδεται σε άναμμα ξύλων στο μπαλκόνι του διαμερίσματος για παρασκευή φαγητού.

A fire broke out yesterday morning in an apartment on the first floor of a building in Tersefanou, Larnaca. The Fire Service was immediately mobilized, sending two vehicles to the scene. The fire started on the apartment balcony, where residents had lit wood to cook, and spread inside. The residents left the apartment immediately after noticing the fire. A ambulance crew arrived at the scene and examined the residents, but they did not need to be taken to hospital. The fire is attributed to the lighting of wood on the balcony for cooking. The Fire Service reminds of the dangers of lighting fires on balconies and in enclosed spaces, especially in apartment buildings, and urges citizens to take the necessary safety measures.
