February Full Moon: When Will the "Snow Moon" Illuminate the Sky?

The February full moon, also known as the "Snow Moon", will be visible on February 1st, offering a spectacular sight. The moon will reach peak brightness at 00:09 on the morning of the 1st, appearing fully illuminated. The ideal viewing time is on the evening of Saturday, January 31st, immediately after sunset, when it will rise near the stars of the Cancer constellation. The "moon illusion" will make the moon appear larger near the horizon, while the atmosphere will take on warm hues. The name "Snow Moon" comes from the traditional names of North American indigenous peoples, due to the February snowfalls, while in other regions it was known as the "Hungry Moon" or "Storm Moon".
