FBI's 10 Most Wanted Fugitive, Olympic Snowboarder, Arrested

Olympic snowboarder Ryan Wendling has been arrested and accused of being the mastermind behind one of the most violent international drug trafficking organizations. The 44-year-old Canadian was wanted by the FBI on charges of leading a criminal organization responsible for transporting approximately 60 tons of cocaine annually into Los Angeles via trucks from Mexico. Wendling had been on the FBI's Ten Most Wanted list since March, with a $15 million reward offered for information leading to his arrest or conviction. He is also charged with attempted murder and other acts related to the organization's activities, as well as the murder of a federal witness who was set to testify against him. Wendling is also accused of using cryptocurrencies to launder the organization's illicit profits. The FBI named the operation against the criminal group 'Giant Slalom', a reference to the athlete's Olympic event, and warned that he should be considered extremely dangerous.
