Farmers' Protests Continue Despite Meeting with Mitsotakis

Farmers' protests continue despite yesterday's meeting between farmers and Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis. The meeting, which lasted over three hours, included an “honest dialogue” and led to the specification of certain measures, such as the expansion of beneficiaries of low-price electricity. However, farmers from 60 roadblocks across Greece refused to participate in the dialogue and announced the continuation of the protests. The Prime Minister accused a “partisan minority” of persisting in the mobilizations and warned against blackmail and illegalities. Farmers at the Nikaia roadblock in Larissa are considering descending on Athens with tractors to hold a rally.
