Farmers' Protest Against KOAP Postponed Following Initiative by Agriculture Minister

Tomorrow's farmers' protest against the KOAP (Cadastral Office) has been postponed following an initiative by the Minister of Agriculture, Maria Panagiotou. This decision came after a broad and lengthy meeting with agricultural organizations, KOAP officials, the Department of Agriculture, and representatives from the Ministries of Interior and Agriculture. During the meeting, Minister Panagiotou submitted a mediating proposal regarding privately owned plots with multiple owners, which appeared to be accepted by both farmers and the KOAP, reducing the administrative burden. Those involved reached a common understanding and agreed to promote specific solutions, leading to the postponement of the protest. Agricultural Organizations expressed their satisfaction and emphasized that additional time will be given to fully resolve the issues.
