Attack on Iran is Attack on Hezbollah, Leader Says

Hezbollah leader Naeem Qassem stated on Monday that any attack against Tehran would also be considered an attack on his fighters, warning that any new war against Iran would escalate tensions in the region. In a televised address to supporters at a rally in solidarity with Iran, Qassem said Hezbollah was ready to defend itself and would not remain neutral. Qassem stated that Hezbollah views potential aggression as targeted towards it and is determined to react. The possibility of choosing a specific strategy depending on the circumstances was not ruled out. This warning comes amid heightened tensions in the region, against the backdrop of concerns about Iran's potential involvement in the Israel-Hamas war. Hezbollah is a close ally of Iran and has exchanged fire with Israeli forces along the Lebanon-Israel border.
