Eurostat: 76.5% of Cypriot Youth Used AI Tools in 2025 – Greece Leads the Way

According to Eurostat data, 76.5% of young people aged 16-24 in Cyprus used generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools in 2025, a percentage higher than the European average of 63.8%. Cyprus is thus ranked among the EU countries with the highest penetration of AI in younger age groups. At the EU level, young people use AI for both private purposes (44.2%) and educational purposes (39.3%), compared to only 9.4% of the general population. Professional use remains relatively limited (15.8%), as many young people have not yet entered the labor market. Greece ranks first in the EU with 83.5% of young people using AI tools, followed by Estonia (82.8%) and the Czech Republic (78.5%). Conversely, the lowest percentages were recorded in Romania (44.1%), Italy (47.2%), and Poland (49.3%). These figures highlight the growing importance of AI in the lives of young people and the need for preparation and education in this field.
