Eurostat: Cyprus Records Lowest Public Transport Usage in EU

According to Eurostat data published on Wednesday, Cyprus records the highest percentage of citizens in the European Union who do not use public transport. 85% of Cypriots over the age of 16 stated they do not use public transport at all, followed by Italy, Portugal, France, Slovenia, and Greece. Only 4.5% of Cypriots use public transport daily, one of the lowest rates in the EU. In contrast, Luxembourg, Estonia, and Sweden have the lowest percentages of citizens who do not use public transport. These figures highlight the limited use of public transport in Cyprus compared to other EU countries.
