Violanda Factory: "I'm the boss and you'll do as I say" - Plumber's Shocking Testimony

New details have emerged in the case of the fatal explosion at the Violanda factory, where five workers lost their lives, from the testimony of a plumber from Trikala. The plumber testified that he was called to connect an external propane tank to the building, but refused to follow his proposals for a safe installation, such as lining the channel with concrete and installing a metal manhole. The owner of Violanda allegedly told him: “I'm the boss and you'll do as I say.” Eventually, the pipe was placed directly on the ground, without sealing, and was found to be corroded. At the same time, it was revealed that the existence of underground tanks had not been declared on the topographic diagram, while the gas supply shut-off valve was not connected to a leak detection system. Experts estimate that the leak was so large that it was not detected by the tank's safety valve, revealing serious safety gaps.
