DIPA to DIKO: Government in Words, Opposition in Deeds – Orphanides on Interconnection and Exit

A dispute arose between DIPA and DIKO regarding the issue of the electricity interconnection and DIKO's intentions to leave the government. DIKO MP Christos Orphanides accused DIPA of using the interconnection issue as a pretext to withdraw from the government, while DIPA Vice President Marinos Kleanthous criticized DIKO for its contradictory statements and its tactic of appearing simultaneously as a governing and opposition party. Both sides referred to the upcoming elections and potential collaborations between the parties.
