The total water level in Cyprus' dams is at 13.8% today, compared to 26% during the same period last year. The total amount of water in the dams amounts to 40,078 million cubic meters (MCM), while the total capacity is 290,804 MCM. The Kouris dam, the largest in Cyprus, has a fullness of 12.3% (14,095 MCM), while last year it was at 21.7%. The Asprokremmos dam, the second largest, has a fullness of 12.5% (6,556 MCM) compared to 27.8% last year. The Evretou dam, the third largest, has a fullness of 18% compared to 25.2% last year. In contrast, the Kalopanagiotis and Pomos dams show a better picture, with fullness levels of 100% and 94.7% respectively. The worst situation is in the Achna, Germanosogia, and Kalavasos dams, with fullness levels of 1.8%, 3.3%, and 8% respectively, highlighting the criticality of the situation regarding water resources in Cyprus.
