Cyprus Rocked by New Revelations in Controversial Video Scandal

New revelations regarding the controversial video are causing political turmoil in Cyprus. A video allegedly showing former minister Giorgos Lakkotrypis conversing with a Russian agent, Florin Georgiou, via a Zoom video call, with the participation of the former Director of the President's Office, Charalambos Charalambous, has come to light. The government has not denied the report. According to information, Charalambous was using a connection from the Presidential Palace during the call. Cyprus has requested judicial assistance from the US, Israel, England, and France, as it is alleged to have been subjected to a similar hybrid attack. Investigations are focused on the origin of the video, its leak, and the identity of those involved, as well as potential criminal offenses. Testimony is being taken from Lakkotrypis, Charalambous, and Cyfield's director, Giorgos Chrysoschos.
