The average rainfall in Cyprus for the period of January 1-12 amounted to 31% of the normal, according to preliminary data from the Department of Meteorology. Total rainfall reached 31.6 millimeters, compared to the normal value of 102.4 millimeters. The last three days recorded an average rainfall of 22.4 millimeters, with the areas of Platanias, Prodromos, and Pano Panagia receiving the highest amounts. Specifically, Platanias recorded 73.8 millimeters of rainfall (39% of normal), Stavros tis Psokas and Pano Panagia 67.6 millimeters (40% and 44% respectively), Prodromos 65.5 millimeters (40% and 44% respectively), and Saittas 46.2 millimeters (32% of normal).
