Cyprus Political Agenda Dominated by Controversial Video

Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos held another phone call with his US counterpart, Mark Rubio, while European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen is expected to arrive with the entire College of Commissioners for important meetings with Cypriot ministers. A meeting of chairpersons of European Affairs parliamentary committees is also taking place in Nicosia. The author expresses the view that those involved should have been more careful in their statements and actions, as they provided an opportunity for criticism. The talks between Kombos and Rubio covered bilateral issues as well as international issues such as Iran, Venezuela, Ukraine, the Middle East and the Eastern Mediterranean.
