Cyprus Police Announces Transfers Following Promotions

The Cyprus Police announced personnel transfers following recent promotions, affecting positions from police directors to political escorts. Significant changes include the confirmation of Ioannis Kapnoullas as the Police Director of Larnaca and Marios Neofytou as the Police Director of Morphou. Second Class Police Officer Christos Kyriakides was appointed commander of the Air Operations Unit, while Panagiotis Kalogirou moved to the position of Director of the Criminal Investigation Department. Also, Zacharias Michael was appointed Deputy Commander of the YAM and Mamas Evangelou took office at Larnaca Airport. Costakis Papamichael was appointed Deputy Police Director (B) and Socrates Socrates took over as Assistant Police Director of Morphou. In addition, transfers of the police escort of the president of the Social Democratic Movement EDEK were made. These transfers are part of a broader reorganization of forces within the Police, aimed at more effective operation and addressing the increasing challenges in Cyprus.
