Cyprus Lags Behind Norway in Electric Vehicle Adoption

Cyprus is lagging behind Norway in promoting electric vehicles, despite the efforts of the Christodoulides government. While 95.9% of new vehicle registrations in Norway in 2025 are expected to be electric, due to tax breaks, the Cypriot government offers only a few dozen grants that are raffled off annually. This limited approach is considered to hinder Cyprus from improving its position within the European Union.
