Cyprus: Fire Department on Alert Due to Strong Winds - Fallen Trees and Damage Reported

The Cyprus Fire Department is on alert due to the strong winds blowing across the island. In the last 24 hours, 38 incidents have been recorded caused by the weather conditions. The incidents include fallen trees, movement of corrugated iron and tanks, as well as damage to vehicles. Most reports came from the provinces of Larnaca, Limassol and Paphos. Specifically, 7 tree falls were recorded in Limassol, 7 in Larnaca and 3 in Paphos. There were also movements of corrugated iron, tanks and solar panel frames. The Fire Department urges the public to be careful and avoid unnecessary travel during the strong winds.
