A series of weather disturbances are expected to affect Cyprus until early February, bringing local showers, isolated thunderstorms, dust, and strengthened winds. According to Andreas Chrysanthou, spokesperson for the Meteorological Service, a noticeable drop in temperature is anticipated from next week. A new disturbance is expected to impact the island from Sunday evening, with local showers and isolated thunderstorms. Mr. Chrysanthou predicted significant rainfall until early February, while the wind field will be intensified, particularly next Saturday. Furthermore, the successive disturbances will be accompanied by dust. Temperatures will remain normal for the season in the coming days, with a possible slight drop (1-2 degrees) on Wednesday and Thursday, before returning to seasonal levels on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. A significant temperature drop is expected on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Citizens are urged to be prepared for the adverse weather conditions and take the necessary protective measures.
